I’m writing this post before chemo 5 on Thursday. This time round my stomach has behaved a bit better thankfully but I got a cold & I definitely feel more tired & get worn out quicker this cycle (which apparently is normal as your body recovers less after each cycle). I’ve also developed an acne rash which has got infected, so I’m now on antibiotics! I’ve got the skin of a teenager & the head of an 80 year old man! Not a pretty sight I can tell you. Shame it’s not Halloween as I wouldn’t need an outfit.  My periods have also stopped and I’m getting hot flushes, so could be starting the menopause. Got to go through it at some point, so might as well get it out the way while I’m feeling crap anyway. I saw the oncologist Friday & he said it’s because the chemo is affecting my hormones & they’re all over the place. He’s still very happy with how the chemo is going though & I should get an apointment with the surgeon in the next few weeks to discuss exactly what surgery is going to be needed & when. I’ll need further scans beforehand to determine that too. It should be mid to end of March all being well.
